About Us

We are the Gordons. Christina Gordon, the lead Provider, is a certified teacher who worked in the Washington Elementary School District for three years. She was blessed with her daughter Lilly and decided to become a stay at home mom. We would love to provide your child with an in home day care. Our philosophy is simple: If you provide a child with a safe, loving and respectful environment, they will enjoy learning. We wilI provide your child with a warm and inviting atmosphere where he/she can safely grow and learn.

What does our philosophy look like when manifested?

We believe in providing children with active environments. Community is built from cooperating and learning together. We will be interacting with your child. They will be emotionally and socially supported and guided. We believe in helping each child at the stage they are at developmentally and will provide each child with the opportunity and tools to grow to the next level. Crafts, manipulatives, literacy, puzzles, and games will be part of our daily schedule. When the weather permits, your child will be playing outdoors on a daily basis. Music, dancing and singing are all important for children to develop into their maximum potential.

We are a TV free zone! We believe that children should be watched, not watching television. When we want to watch a movie or use technology for education purposes, we simply get out our laptop.

In order to create a safe, loving and respectful environment there needs to be a system in place to motivate children. We use a goal setting and rewards system; 80% of children respond to positive reinforcement. Children will track their progress and victories as well as improvements on a chart. We also teach character and good morals as part of our program, adhering to Biblical principles.

Who are we looking for?

Parents

We want to work with parents who care about their child having a natural, stimulating environment. Parents who like hands on learning through frequent field trips and crafts is essential.

Preschool Age Children

We want to work with children who are from the ages of 3-6. We currently have four spaces available. We provide services for five children total, including our own. Once the children are in Kindergarten, we no longer provide services for that child. We will help to prepare your child to enter Kindergarten.
